Vic:Two teenage girls charged with murder

MELBOURNE, Feb 10 AAP - Two teenage girls have been charged with murder after the stabbing
death of a 35-year-old man in Geelong late last night.

A police spokesman said the girls, aged 14 and 16, had been remanded in custody to
appear in the Melbourne Children's Court on Monday.

Police were called to a house in Mount Pleasant Road, in the Geelong suburb of Belmont,
at about 11.30pm (AEDT) last night.

"The area was sealed off after a 35-year-old man, who had suffered stab wounds to his
upper body, died," police said.

Early this morning police said the girls were being interviewed by homicide squad detectives.

They were charged mid-afternoon.
